Key Findings

#1 — Organic Camouflage

Content framing determines survival, not account quality

The most successful promoter (Creatify's u/Fun_Spell9277) posts genuine-looking discussion questions with only ~10% overt product mentions. Their removal rate is 14%. In contrast, the official Creatify account posting direct SaaS promotion had a 58% removal rate — in the same subreddit.

#2 — Aged Accounts Are Non-Negotiable

Accounts under 90 days get removed 3-5x more often

Successful brands use accounts averaging 1,000-1,300 days old. Accounts under 90 days (like u/GabrielKadi at 80d with Manus AI) see removal rates of 30-50%+.

#3 — Karma Is a Red Herring

Age beats karma by a wide margin

Median karma for promotional accounts is surprisingly low (100-200). Account age is the primary trust signal Reddit's filters use. u/snazir101 (10.7yr, 1 karma) is more trusted than a 30-day account with 5,000 karma.

#4 — Own Subreddits as Safe Havens

Creating a subreddit gives you moderation control

Multiple brands (MillionBuilds/r/jobhuntify, Manus AI/r/SubscriptionLoot, Kindroid/r/KindroidAI) operate their own subreddits where they control content policy. This guarantees zero removal risk for posts in those subs.

#5 — Cross-Post Detection

Identical content across 10+ subreddits is easily flagged

u/GabrielKadi posted the same title "I started my Meta Ads AI SaaS..." to 10+ subreddits. Multiple posts were removed with removed_by_category: moderator. Removal rate: ~50%. Unique content per sub survives better.

#6 — NSFW Subs Are Low-Friction

darlink.ai operates with <6% removal by staying in AI porn communities

Content in NSFW/AI-generated subreddits faces lighter moderation. Accounts like u/Routine_Sense_5798 (6% removal) and u/Different_Issue_4103 (5% removal) post frequently with almost no moderation friction.
